Senator McIlhinney Receives Humanitarian Award

Senator Chuck McIlhinney (R-10) was named a recipient of the Ted Lindeman Outreach Foundation 2014 Humanitarian Award.

The Humanitarian Award honors individuals who live and work in the Greater Philadelphia area who have made a significant humanitarian contribution to their local communities. The Ted Lindeman Outreach Foundation is a non-profit group created to help young families who face the death of a spouse.

"The Ted Lindeman Outreach Foundation provides an incredible service to our communities by providing critical support to individuals and families who have truly lost everything,” McIlhinney said. “To be recognized by such an organization is deeply humbling, and it is an honor for which I am extremely grateful.”

McIlhinney was one of five recipients selected to receive the honor at the organization’s award breakfast in Warrington. The Senator was recognized in part for his efforts to improve public assistance programs to help more families achieve economic independence without losing access to work supports.
