Quinn Begins Fifth Term Serving 143rd District

During the swearing-in ceremony of the Pennsylvania General Assembly held Tuesday, Jan. 6, at the state Capitol, Rep. Marguerite Quinn (R-Bucks) was sworn in to office as state representative of the 143rd Legislative District.

With this ceremony, Quinn began her fifth term in office. The day’s proceedings also included the formal election of House speaker, as well as voting on rules to govern the body for the next two years.

“As the new session begins, I will continue to serve the people of the Commonwealth with integrity, dedication and a commitment to serving the needs of the 143rd District,” Quinn said. “I welcome Haycock Township residents to this district, and I am sorry that I will no longer represent some neighborhoods in Buckingham.”

The House returns to a voting session and will witness the governor’s inauguration on Jan. 20.

“It is a privilege to serve as a state representative, and I look forward to working with the incoming administration and Governor-elect Wolf as we address the challenges facing Pennsylvania,” Quinn added. “The combination of respect, communication and a bipartisan approach is key if we are to overcome those challenges and best serve the Commonwealth now and in the future.”

Quinn noted that in addition to her offices, residents are encouraged to visit her website, RepQuinn.net, and her Facebook page at Facebook.com/RepQuinn.
