Heroin Hits Home

Heroin is a problem in our community. It's cheaper than a six pack of beer and this drug is killing hundreds of Pennsylvanians each year – and the numbers continue to rise.

The Township Video News, an online news program produced by the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors, digs into the epidemic with its very first special report, “Heroin Hits Home.”

This program features a panel of leaders who have been on the front lines helping to address this epidemic : Barbara Lyons, Chair of the Doylestown Township Board of Supervisors in Bucks County; Sen. Eugene Yaw (R-23), Board Chair of the Center for Rural Pennsylvania, which has held hearings and completed a comprehensive report on heroin use and addiction in the commonwealth; and Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Adam Reed.
