Fitzpatrick Statement on the Murder of Kidnapped Israeli Teens

Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick (PA-8) released the following statement Tuesday regarding the murder of three Israeli teens kidnapped in the West Bank:

I am deeply saddened by the announcement of the discovery of the bodies of three missing Israeli teens – including one Israeli-American - kidnapped in the West Bank last month.

Their murders are a shameful act of cowardly terrorism which has no place in Israel or any other nation. I stand resolutely behind the Israeli government and the people of Israel in their efforts to hold those who perpetrated this act accountable.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, seeking to comfort the families of these boys, said, ‘to the mothers, the fathers, the grandmothers and the grandfathers, the brothers and sisters - our hearts are bleeding, the whole nation is crying with them.’ I can say- the world and all freedom loving people join in their pain.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Yifrach, Sha'er and Frenkel families in their time of great need.

Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick is serving his third term in the U.S. House of Representatives. He represents Pennsylvania’s 8th district which includes all of Bucks County as well as a portion of Montgomery County. He serves as the Vice Chairman of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations.
