Quinn Announces Free Tax Assistance Available To Seniors

Rep. Marguerite Quinn (R-Bucks) would like to inform residents that the AARP Tax Aide program will again provide free assistance to seniors in filing their federal, state and local tax returns. The program will be conducted at the Central Bucks Senior Center, located at 700 North Shady Retreat Road in Doylestown.

“With many seniors on fixed incomes, it is so important that their taxes are filed accurately to maximize their refunds,” Quinn said. “With the help of professionals, seniors will get the correct amount of money they are owed.”

For more than 20 years, the AARP Tax Aide program has served low-to-middle income taxpayers with special attention to those age 60 and older. Computer-based tax return preparation assistance and e-filing of returns will also be provided at no charge.

Funded by an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) grant, this effort is part of the IRS-sponsored Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) program. It is administered through the AARP Foundation under the title Tax-Aide. Locally, it is endorsed by the Area Agency on Aging.

Don’t wait to schedule an appointment; this service is provided on a first-come, first-served basis.  To schedule an appointment, please contact Quinn’s district office at (215) 489-2126.
