Bucks County DA Matt Weintraub talks about the Crimewatch Network

Crimewatch unites the efforts of law enforcement, children’s advocacy groups and concerned citizens to help keep their community safe.

It is a two-way communication platform that provides instant access to information from local law enforcement and also accepts anonymous tips from the community to help catch criminals.

Bucks County DA Matt Weintraub unveiled the 'Push Out The Pusher' initiative at the Falls police station where area law enforcement were on hand along with other members of the Push Out The Pusher campaign.

The primary focus of this initiative are dealers who fuel the increasing opioid epidemic in Bucks by selling potentially deadly drugs like heroin and fentanyl.

McIlhinney Resolution Recognizes Efforts of Amputees 

The Senate passed a resolution today that recognizes the efforts of Pennsylvanians who have been affected by limb loss, according to the resolution’s sponsor, Sen. Chuck McIlhinney (R-10). 

The resolution designates April 2017 as Limb Loss Awareness Month in Pennsylvania. The designation is part of a nationwide movement to raise awareness of the struggles faced by people affected by limb loss.

Doylestown Rallies to Support a Local Family 

Doylestown rallies to support a local family whose boy was recently diagnosed with a grade-three aggressive brain tumor.

Dominic, the seven-year-old son of Kira and Ken Liples was recently diagnosed with a grade-three aggressive brain tumor and underwent brain surgery to remove a portion of the tumor located on the part of his brain that controls his motor skills.

Radiation and chemotherapy will follow so he and his family have a long road ahead.

Legislature Authorizes Education Funding, Wolf Needs to Act

McIlhinney’s District Office to Participate in Local Charitable Food Effort 

Sen. Chuck McIlhinney’s (R-10) district office in Doylestown will serve as a collection point for donations as part of a charitable food program sponsored by the United Way of Bucks County and the Bucks County Opportunity Council. 

Local residents are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items, such as canned goods, granola bars, pasta, rice and cereal, as well as any produce that does not require refrigeration, such as apples, citrus fruits, potatoes and onions.
